Hollywood, FL, July 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Native Learning Center (NLC), a Seminole Tribe of Florida program dedicated to the development of cultural and quality of life skills for all Native and Indigenous people, announces that Kerretv Online is expanding its Tuition Free webinar selection by adding its first 4-day webinar series. Increasing Your Funding & Sustainability - Strategic Use of the CFDA, Acts(s) and CFR(s) will be instructed by Wanda Jean Lord, Lord & Associates, on Kerretv Online, Hollywood, FL July 29 – August 1, 2013.

Participants will receive instruction and hands on examples of how to use the Catalog of Domestic Assistance; and understand the inter-relationships of the Act(s) governing all federal grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements including those governing specific funding sources, and the requirements of the Code of Federal Regulations in order to increase your ability to identify and leverage new or expanded formula funding sources for your Tribal Communities.

Course Objective:
· Describe the legal instruments for the awarding of federal funding;
· Recognize if an award of federal funding is primarily for the benefit of the U.S. Government or to transfer something of value to the Tribe.

Federal Funding & the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) - Day 2, Tuesday, July 30, 2013, 12:00 p.m. – 2 p.m. EST
Course Objective:
· Identify the most common revenue streams used to build a Development Strategy;
· Identify two ‘non-grant writing’ Development processes that can increase federal funding to Tribes.

Leveraging Federal Financing with the Code of Federal Regulations Hands On Example: USDA’s Rural Development Community Facilities Grants & Loans - Day 3, Wednesday, July 31, 2013, 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. EST
Course Objective:
· Be able to find the electronic Catalog of Federal Regulations and use the online database to complete searches for applicable regulations;
· Building upon the knowledge gained in the “CFDA” Webinar – be able to identify applicable Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) content for this federal funding source as listed within the CFDA Summary and be able to identify and obtain the CFRs.

Leveraging Formula Grant Funding with the Code of Federal Regulations Hands On Example: DHHS’ Child Care Development Funding - Day 4, Thursday, Aug 1, 2013, 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. EST
Course Objectives:
· Be able to recognize, find, obtain and refer to the agency published guidance in order to prepare the plan for this funding and to identify negotiating options to increase funding awards;
· Identify any ‘related funding’ via the CFDA.
