“Rhinology” a Gold Winner at IBPA’s Ben Franklin Awards

New York, NY, June 20, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Thieme’s “Rhinology” was honored as a Gold Winner at the 2013 Benjamin Franklin Awards. “Rhinology,” by Dr. David W. Kennedy and Dr. Peter H. Hwang, was awarded the top prize in the professional/technical category. It offers in-depth coverage of all key topics in the subspecialty of rhinology, ranging from rhinosinusitis to endoscopic skull base reconstruction and more.

On hand to accept the award was J. Owen Zurhellen IV, Managing Editor in Thieme’s New York office, who said:

“My colleagues and I at Thieme Medical Publishers, and the two authors, are very pleased and proud that the IBPA has honored our book and DVD as the best title of the year in the professional/technical category. Our goal was always to print what would become the acknowledged standard in this field, and the response is that 'Rhinology: Diseases of the Nose, Sinuses, and Skull Base' has proven to be just that.”

In addition to Rhinology’s win, “Acupuncture for Insomnia,” by Dr. Hamid Montakab, was selected as a Finalist in the professional/technical category and “Chinese Herbal Medicine,” by Dr. Leon I. Hammer and Dr. Hamilton Rott, was selected as a Finalist in the cover design category. This is the second consecutive year that Thieme’s titles have won Ben Franklin Awards.
