Charm City Pets to Align with a New Movement Helping Animal Centers

Jusani Culture, a new online platform dedicated to making a difference in the lives of homeless pets, is pleased to announce that it will be aligning with Charm City Animal Rescue in a funding + awareness campaign from July 22 - August 4.

Baltimore, MD, July 20, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Jusani Culture, a young commercial co-venture dedicated to making a difference in the lives of homeless pets, is pleased to announce that it will be raising funds and awareness for the Charm City Animal Rescue from July 22 through August 4.

Throughout the campaign period, visitors to Jusani’s website, www.jusani.com, can share the photos and stories of adoptable pets while shopping to benefit Charm City Animal Rescue (CCAR). During that time, the products normally available in Jusani’s online shop, along with a specially designed t-shirt chosen by CCAR’s Facebook fans, will be sold on Jusani’s website to raise funding for CCAR, where they rescue and care for at-risk and special needs pets.

In 2009, Michelle Ingrodi founded CCAR, working to rescue and rehome pets from the streets and shelters of Baltimore. With the help of many foster families who house and care for the pets, CCAR is able to rescue roughly 350 cats and 5 dogs every year, including Griswold. Rescued from a storm drain, and having a difficult time living in a cage at an area shelter, CCAR took Griswold in and placed him in a foster home.

To continue to help cats like Griswold and other animals in need, CCAR, a nonprofit organization, relies on the support of the community to not only foster rescued pets, but to donate to their care. As Ingrodi says, it costs “about $5 a day per animal from food to litter to meds,” and since CCAR cares for many animals with health issues, there are additional costs associated with their care. Jusani Culture was founded to raise the needed awareness and funds, better allowing shelters and rescues like CCAR to continue their life-saving work.

Jusani Culture began in 2010 with founder Melissa Salinas’ desire to do more to help homeless pets across America. What started as an idea to raise money for shelters through the sale of organic tees has grown into a movement: a place where customers shop for clothing, jewelry, accessories, home décor, and pet products to support a cause they believe in, and a community where pet lovers can learn about animal rescue and sheltering, share the stories and photos of adoptable pets, and find inspiration in the work and stories of the shelters Jusani helps.
