)-- ArtOfBytes, creator of GRave Defense HD, announces the new update of their recently published game – StereoRide that lets players pilot a spaceship on a track generated by their favorite song. Using tilt or touch controls, players collect stars and avoid asteroids to unlock pilots, ships, and more. Each level is generated especially for the user’s favorite tune by StereoRide’s one-of-a-kind level generation technology.
The game starts by choosing a file from the player’s MP3 library. Using sound decoding, beats detection, and spectral characteristics determination, StereoRide creates a unique track based on that song. Slow music creates a more relaxed experience, while fast music and rapid beats produce an intense thrill ride. Players can then choose from a normal, hardcore, or insane experience. Points are earned by collecting as many stars as possible and avoiding flying into asteroids.
StereoRide was created as a mobile alternative to Audiosurf and other rhythm-based games. “We thought it would be great to bring this experience to mobile platforms,” says ArtofBytes General Manager Tanja Kobzar. “We used our own track recognition approach to get the unique level for every song and make it possible to play again and again without being bored by the game.”
StereoRide is available for free on Google Play in all countries. Developers constantly update the game – the newest version with Google Play game services, MOGA controller support, new songs, leaderboard, achievement and other features has been just released.
