Anaheim, CA, July 25, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Anaheim Convention Centre - Boston Limited, now in its 19th year as distribution partner for Super Micro Computer, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCI), is delighted to unveil an exciting new addition to their Venom range of high performance, liquid cooled workstations at the 40th Siggraph conference: the Boston Venom 2400-0T. For more information and a demonstration please visit Supermicro at booth #321.

The Boston Venom 2400-0T uses Supermicro Hyper-Speed technology to enable the industry's fastest, most powerful solution with compute speed and reliability as the primary focus. Based on Supermicro’s X9DAX series motherboard and the next generation Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 series processors, Boston is able to enhance the CPUs (up to 150W TDP) with Hyper-Speed in order to achieve application performance improvements of up to 30% while maintaining stability. The processors are able to run at maximum efficiency thanks to liquid CPU cooling technology, with an in-built pump that provides rapid, effective coolant circulation and a quiet computing experience.

The Boston Venom is optimised for Silicon Philosophies’ innovative CINEMA CRAFT® HD applications (CC-HDe & CC-3De 2.0). Leading video post-production facilities, film studios (e.g. SONY DADC, Deluxe Digital, Imagion, MSM, Cinehollywood, Paramount, Warner, MGM, Pixar), broadcasters (e.g. FOX, HBO, Turner) and digital content professionals have long benefitted from CINEMA CRAFT® HD encoder’s speed and unique quality Blu-ray and MVC Stereoscopic results. Silicon Philosophies’ recent deployment of these applications harnesses Boston’s Venom architecture to guarantee the most efficient, high-performance media encoding platform.

Manoj Nayee, Managing Director of Boston Limited says, “Boston is delighted to be unveiling our latest Venom workstation in partnership with Supermicro at this year’s Siggraph convention. Our Venom range of high performance workstations are optimized to provide digital content creation and VFX professionals with unparalleled performance.

“With the introduction of our new dual-processor Venom 2400-0T workstation powered by the next generation Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 series processors, Supermicro Hyper-Speed technology and CINEMA CRAFT® HD encoder software, Boston is able to offer a performance enhanced workstation that pushes the performance boundaries further than ever before!”
