The Casey Cares Foundation Featured on Season Premiere of ABC’s “Secret Millionaire” August 4th, 2013

The Casey Cares Foundation, a charity that provides uplifting and ongoing programs for critically ill children and their families, will be a featured charity on the season premiere of ABC's TV show "Secret Millionaire" on August 4th at 8:00pm EST.

Baltimore, MD, July 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Casey Cares Foundation today announced that they will be featured on the season premiere of the popular ABC television program “Secret Millionaire” on Sunday, August 4. The show airs nationally on Sunday evenings at 8:00 pm ET.

The reality show’s premise has self-made millionaires hide their identity and pose as volunteers for non-profit organizations. Meanwhile, the secret millionaires examine the non-profit group they have selected and ultimately surprise the charity or individual with a gift to further their mission. When Secret Millionaire visited Casey Cares, the non-profit organization was told that the cameras were there to film a documentary.

“Casey Cares impressed me from the moment I walked into their facility. It was obvious that they built a community of individuals with such a deep desire to simply help others,” commented the ‘Secret Millionaire’, Anne Beiler, Founder of Auntie Anne's Pretzels. “I will forever be touched by the moments I had to interact with Casey, the team, and the families they serve. Truly amazing! They do so much with so little – proof that a big heart for helping others can go a long way.”

Since 2000, the Casey Cares Foundation provides uplifting and ongoing programs with a special touch to critically ill children and their families throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C. and the Mid-Atlantic region.

After meeting Casey Cares’ Founder and Executive Director Casey Baynes, as well as the foundation’s staff and volunteers, and seeing first-hand how the charity’s programs impacts so many families, The “Secret Millionaire” decided to give a monetary gift to the charity.

The Casey Cares Foundation provides six different types of programs for children with life threatening illnesses. From offering tickets to sporting events, concerts and live shows, to sending families on weekend getaways, to distributing new sleepwear and planning pajama parties for children on extended hospital stays, the charity customizes heartwarming activities many times throughout the child’s illness.

After the airing of the show, Casey Cares will need all of the help they can get to support the additional families who contact them to participate in their programs.
