North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association Names Dr. David Linzey as New President

NCVMA Selects Veterinarians from Across the State to Serve on 2013-2014 Executive Board

Raleigh, NC, August 07, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (http://www.ncvma.org/) has announced the organization’s 2013-2014 board of directors. The organization has elected Dr. David Linzey as the President for the organization. Linzey is the owner of Animal Emergency & Pet Care Clinic of the High Country in Boone, N.C. He received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from North Carolina State University. Linzey practiced for 10 years in mixed-animal and emergency clinics in the foothills region, before relocating to Boone to open his own emergency hospital in 2005. He is an active member of the local veterinary community and served as the 2012-2013 NCVMA President-Elect.

- Distinguished Veterinarian: Dr. Amy Lewis, Falls Village Veterinary Hospital, Raleigh, N.C.
