Curzon PR to Support Russian Art Week, November 2013, Ahead of Bi-Lateral UK-Russia Year of Culture

Organised by Russian Art and Culture, the third edition of Russian Art Week runs 22–29 November 2013 and is the only major event in the UK bringing together HNW Russian collectors, art houses, scholars and experts.

London, United Kingdom, August 07, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Ahead of the UK-Russia Year of Culture 2014, online portal Russian Art and Culture has selected Curzon PR to work on strategy and support for the upcoming third edition of its popular Russian Art Week, running from 22-29 November 2013.

Russian Art Week has fast become the only major event in the UK to bring together HNW Russian collectors, top auction houses, scholars, experts and curators under the auspices of the semi-annual Russian art sales held by Christie’s, Sotheby’s, Bonhams and MacDougall’s in London every June and November.

Russian Art Week includes exhibitions, lectures and cultural events around London and is the brainchild of Theodora Clarke, founder and editor of Russian Art and Culture. This year’s Russian Art Week Gala will also include the official opening of the exhibition Transforming Nature’s Impulse: The Landscape and Genre Paintings of Boris Chetkov at the Westbury Hotel, Mayfair.

“Russian Art Week has come to be the most important event on the Russian art scene here in London,” says Farzana Baduel, MD of Curzon PR. “I am delighted to work on this exciting initiative, which has never been more timely than it is now, ahead of the official UK-Russia Year of Culture 2014.”

Celebrating the long cultural tradition of engagement between the two countries, the UK-Russia Year of Culture in 2014 will delight and surprise Russian and UK audiences and illustrate the way in which the relationship continues to develop new, creative and contemporary narratives in both countries.
