Corporate Partnership Division of Harrison College Supports the Advancement of Minority Youth in Central Indiana with Sponsorship of 6th Annual College Prep Conference Aug. 10

Indianapolis, IN, August 09, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Harrison College (http://www.harrison.edu/), a private sector college serving more than 4,000 students worldwide, has announced that its corporate partnership division will sponsor the Center for Leadership Development (CLD) 6th Annual College Prep Conference & College Fair on Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Indiana Convention Center, located at 100 S. Capitol Avenue. The event, which will take place from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., is hosted by CLD, an organization dedicated to fostering the advancement of minority youth in Central Indiana as future professional, business and community leaders by providing experiences that encourage personal development and educational attainment.

The College Prep Conference & College Fair will expose students and parents throughout the state of Indiana to the idea of college as an accessible option, as well as inform them of the many opportunities that a college education and degree affords graduates. The conference will include a number of informative and interactive sessions, including Creating a Standout Application, Financial Aid 101 and Parent Purpose: Your Role in the College Admission Process, among others. The event will provide students and parents alike with a comprehensive understanding of the entire college readiness process – including working hard in school, applying for admission, seeking scholarship opportunities, applying for financial aid and tips for excelling as a college student.

Invested in empowering minority youth in Indiana and beyond, Harrison College’s corporate partnerships division will be sponsoring a table at the conference, and members of the corporate partnerships’ staff will be on hand to talk with students and parents throughout the event. The event is open to students in grades 8 through 12, as well as their parents and guardians. Registration is $15 per guest and includes breakfast and lunch.
