Kids Pancake Recipe Challenge Calls for Creative Stacks

The Original Pancake House Denver Hosts Recipe Contest for Young Pancake Aficionados.

Greenwood Village, CO, August 09, 2013 --( The Original Pancake House Denver today announced the launch of a Kids Pancake Recipe Challenge in honor of National Pancake Day on Sept. 26, 2013. A family-owned and operated business with locations in the Denver Tech Center and Cherry Hills Village, The Original Pancake House Denver has been serving made-from-scratch, original family recipes in Denver since 1996. The Original Pancake House Denver is hosting the Kids Recipe Challenge to celebrate their youngest pancake fans.

Running from Aug. 15-Sept. 2, 2013, children under the age of 18 may submit their wackiest, most delicious and creative pancake recipes and toppings through a contest tab on The Original Pancake House Denver’s Facebook page, @ophdenver. Entrants are encouraged to submit a photo of their creation along with the recipes.

“We are very excited to see what the young chefs come up with,” stated owner Sara Hueneke Ernst. “The winning recipe may even inspire a new menu feature!”

Participants, friends, family members and pancake fans alike are encouraged to vote for their favorite recipe using the special tab @ophdenver. Voting will run Sept. 3-23, 2013. Votes will be counted and a winner announced on National Pancake Day, Sept. 26, 2013. The recipes with the highest number of votes will take the Grand Prize – free breakfast for a table of six at either the Cherry Hills or Denver Tech Center restaurant locations.

The Kids Recipe Challenge is open to anyone under the age of 18. The Original Pancake House Denver encourages adult supervision of young participants during both recipe creation and recipe submission on Facebook.
