Local Artist Nominated for Global Art Award

In July 2013 Leonora Gregory-Collura called Trent Altman with the news that he was nominated and exclusively invited to make a presentation of his art as a representative of the United States of America to the International Naturally Autsitic People Awards Convention and Festival. Trent and his family plan to be in British Columbia this October 1 - 6.

Local Artist Nominated for Global Art Award

In July 2013 Leonora Gregory-Collura called Trent Altman with the news that he was nominated and exclusively invited to make a presentation of his art as a representative of the United States of America to the International Naturally Autistic People Awards Convention and Festival. Trent and his family plan to be in British Columbia this October 1 - 6.

Trent was chosen among hundreds of artist submissions around the globe as a nominee within the visual arts category. He will represent the United States which is one of 70 countries, where artists, leaders, and other autistic people from other categories of exemplary talent will be honored at the INAPA convention and festival. This is an amazing honor. His family is in the process of reaching out to the community to raise funds for this amazing trip.

Trent Altman is a 3-time international award winning artist. His accomplishments include:
1) The United Nations Autism Awareness Stamp, 2012 where he was one of eight artists from around the world whose work was chosen for the stamp. Altman’s winning design is titled "An Abstract Garden II." One million stamps were printed and sold in Geneva, Vienna, and New York City. 2) Strokes of Genius award honoree and an art exhibition at the United Nations Plaza in NYC April 2012 honoring Altman.
3) The McCarton Foundation, Genius of Autism Honoree, October 2012, NYC. Trent was invited to exhibit and sell his art.

In 2013, Kentucky Education Television (KET) produced a documentary, An Art for Expression, featuring Trent’s art making. (#1808) Lucille Sharp/Crittenden-Our Town/Northern Kentucky Fort Towns/Trent Altman Trent is a Kentucky Juried Artist and a member of the Kentucky Arts Council and Bullit County Arts Council.
