Employees at Braintree Elder Agency Receive Certification from Boston University

Braintree, MA, September 06, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Several employees at South Shore Elder Services in Braintree have recently received “Certificate in Aging” from Boston University Institute for Geriatric Social Work.

The staff at South Shore Elder Services completed five courses in gerontology online and passed tests in each subject area to earn their certification.

Those awarded include:

Bobby Kay Davis, Homecare Supervisor and Ellie O'Neil, Family Caregiver Specialist who are residents of Weymouth; Gwen DeVasto, Protective Services Supervisor and a resident of Bourne; Kara Fink, Coordinator of Clinical Development and a resident of Framingham; Mary Frugoli, Assistant Protective Service Supervisor and resident of Cohasset; Tara Keliher, Medicaid Services Case Manager and resident of Quincy; Frank Poon, Asian Outreach Worker and Wrentham resident; Mark Richburg, Protective Service Advocate and Randolph resident; Linda Yip, Data Management Supervisor and resident of Cambridge as well as Karla Wood, Protective Service Advocate and Martie Barnes, Information Specialist.

According to Edward J. Flynn, Executive Director of South Shore Elder Services, “It’s quite an accomplishment as working towards the certification required a great deal of work and significant time commitment from each.”
