Dayton, OH, August 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Legendary Country Muscian Merle Haggard to perform at the legendary JD Legends Concert Venue in Franklin Ohio Saturday September 5. Tickets are only $31.50 plus ticket fees. The concert will be held outdoors and doors will open at 5pm.
Along with Buck Owens, Haggard and his band The Strangers helped create the Bakersfield sound, which is characterized by the unique twang of Fender Telecaster and the unique mix with the traditional country steel guitar sound, new vocal harmony styles in which the words are minimal, and a rough edge not heard on the more polished Nashville Sound recordings of the same era.
By the 1970s, Haggard was aligned with the growing outlaw country movement, and has continued to release successful albums through the 1990s and into the 2000s. In 1994, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.[1] In 1997, he was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.[2]
Charlie Samaan, General Manager for the club, says, "This show looks like it's going to be a sell out." In addition to Aaron Lewis, Merle Haggard will perform on September 5, 2013. He also says that it will be one of the better shows of the year with opening acts Highway Junkies and Ryan Broshear.
