The video series of the patient begins the day before surgery with Dr. Hyman. The patient discuss the reason’s she decided to finally undergo surgery, as well as her expectations following surgery. Studies have found that 98% of women’s expectations following breast augmentation surgery are either met or exceeded post operatively. The series continues in the days proceeding surgery, starting with Day 2 after surgery, in which the patient is pleasantly surprised with her low level of pain and discomfort.
A prospective patient watching the series can expect to receive tips about the postoperative recovery, in which common questions, such as how to minimize scarring, are addressed. Dr. Hyman looks forward to having other patients share their stories via YouTube and other social media channels.
