Congressman McKinley to Speak at "Export University" Event

U.S. Commercial Service, W.V. District Export Council will host day-long program to teach local businesses how to sell overseas.

Wheeling, WV, September 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The U.S. Commercial Service’s (USCS) U.S. Export Assistance Centers in Charleston and Wheeling and the W.V. District Export Council are inviting WV-based firms that are currently or interested in exporting to attend the upcoming “Export University,” slated for September 6, 2013, at West Liberty University.

This all-day event will walk attendees through the export process, including:
- Introduction to exporting
- Legal considerations, commercial diplomacy and advocacy
- Managing payment risk and financing the sale
- International logistics and working with a good freight forwarder
- Using the Internet as a tool to enter international markets

Attendees will hear from experts on these topics as well as seasoned exporters who will share their experiences and offer advice. The program’s networking lunch will feature Congressman David McKinley (R-Wheeling), who will discuss the impact of exporting to the state’s economy. After the luncheon, one-on-one meetings will be arranged with attendees and the expert speakers of their choosing, based on a first come, first come basis.
