Build Economical Switch System with Model ESL’s Model 9060 Modular Switches

Electro Standards Laboratories designed the Model 9060 RJ45 AB Switch to enable IT managers to build their network one switch at a time.

Cranston, RI, September 05, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, announces the Model 9060 RJ45 A/B Switch Module. The Model 9060 switch modules allows the user to switch a device connected to the COMMON port between devices connected to ports A and B. Implementing modular switches enables the users to expand their system by adding modules as the requirement grows.

The Model 9060 is a manual switch that features a front-panel rotary knob to select A or B. This switch incorporates a high-quality sealed switch with self-wiping precious metal contacts. The attractive anodized all aluminum packaging provides EMI/RFI shielding. No external power is required.

Up to eight Model 9060 Switch Modules can be housed in one Model 9025 Rackmount Chassis. The user can add more modules with various switch functions as the system grows. Electro Standards manufactures an array of modular switches including CAT 5 and CAT 6 compliant versions of the Model 9060. This switch is available for export worldwide.

The port connections on the Model 9060 includes (3) RJ45 female connectors labeled A, B and COMMON. The signals are paired for 10BASE-T compliance (1,2) (3,6) (4,5) (7,8) to reduce cross talk. The module’s dimensions are 2.0” W x 5.25” H x 7.0” D (5.1 x 13.3 x 17.8 cm). The unit weights approximately 0.8 lb. (0.4 kg). The full opening for modules is 16.8” W (42.7 cm).

The Model 9025 rackmount chassis for this switch is also available from Electro Standards Laboratories. The rack chassis supports up to eight Model 9060 switch modules. Optional filler panels are also available to achieve a neat well-ordered appearance.
