)-- Lyric Light Opera returns to McIntyre Hall (Mount Vernon) and Kirkland Performance Center this Fall 2013, bringing to the stage another acclaimed and exceptional family show that has garnered a staggering 14 Tony and Drama Desk awards, Annie. The well-loved classic has been performed on Broadway over 2,000 times and has appeared professionally on stage in over 27 countries around the globe. Annie runs October 5-20 at Kirkland Performance Center and November 2-17 at McIntyre Hall (Mount Vernon).
Annie promises to be another extraordinary LLO theatrical event featuring some of the finest performers in the region as well as the same compelling storytelling that Lyric Light Opera audiences have come to expect…with every detail lovingly and carefully created to give you and your family an experience to remember. No slapped together sets or quick-and-easy staging here. Instead expect stunning sets and costumes in this meticulously crafted and heart-warming tale of hope and love, tears and triumph. Lyric Light Opera was founded in 2006 with the goal of bringing exceptional, professional productions to the Puget Sound area, featuring the very best of regional talent. Under the watchful eye of Artistic Director, Brenda Mueller, some of the most beloved musicals of all time have been retold in an inspired and uplifting way, highlighted on the magnificent stages of McIntyre Hall and Kirkland Performance Center. Show titles include; Annie Get Your Gun, Brigadoon, The Sound of Music, Beauty and the Beast, The King and I, Camelot, The Music Man, My Fair Lady, South Pacific and most recently—Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
Each show is finely and expertly crafted using both professional and amateur performers of all ages. Lyric Light Opera is the proud pioneer of a unique Mentoring Partnering Program which gives the youngest and most inexperienced actors the opportunity to work alongside seasoned Broadway professionals as well as some of the finest regional talents with full orchestras, magnificent sets and costumes.
