Los Angeles, CA, September 11, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Maricela "LaDiva" Cornejo, the undefeated and third ranked middleweight in the United States according to BoxRec, will battle Tiffanie Ward on Friday, September 20 at the Silver Reef Casino in suburban Seattle for the UBF United States Middleweight Championship. The fight will also include Cornejo's defense of her Boxing Illustrated Middleweight Championship belt.

The fight will be a part of Rumble at the Reef XIX at the newly renovated and expanded Event Center at the Silver Reef Casino in Ferndale, Washington. The casino is between Seattle and Vancouver.

Combined Artists Studios will televise the bout as the first of its Boxing Illustrated Monthly TV Series, which will be distributed to regional sports TV networks as well as WGN.

"We are delighted to be working with Patrick Ortiz, Maravilloso Entertainment, Boxing Illustrated Magazine, and the Silver Reef Casino to bring this magnificent young fighter, Maricela Cornelo, to the national TV stage," said Combined Artists CEO Tom Ficara. "We think she is going to be the first million dollar women's boxer and we are proud to support her."

Cornejo, who is undefeated as an amateur and as a pro, won the Boxing Illustrated Middleweight title in August 2012 against Mia Henderson in Atlanta, Georgia. She defended it with a third round TKO of Terri Rowe in November 2012 in Sacramento, California.

Combined Artists Studios, founded in 1990, has produced and/or distributed over 100 professional and amateur boxing matches to regional sports networks, IPTV, and broadcast stations. Combined Artists distributed boxing matches from Patrick Ortiz that originated from San Manuel Bingo and Casino, and the Pachanga Casino, both in California.

Combined Artists Studios currently produces boxing, arm wrestling, bowling, billiards, and other sports for TV syndication. It also has produced the classic sports TV series Distant Replay since 1990. It also produces the Nick Bonsanto Show for television.

This is the first monthly syndicated broadcast TV boxing series since the Mizlou TV Network's Stroh's Fight of the Month in 1985. Combined Artists has distributed that series for more than 25 years on cable TV and now IPTV.

The Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) has sanctioned a UBF United States Middleweight Championship title for the Cornejo-Ward bout. This "beginner's belt" recognizes the young fighters on the rise as they prepare to compete for International, Inter Continental, and the World Middleweight Championships.

Maricela Cornejo is going home for this fight as she hails from Grandview, Washington. Tiffanie Ward is fighting from Los Angeles. Cornejo trains at the Mayweather Gym in Las Vegas under trainer Floyd Mayweather Senior.
