About Best Friends Animal Society:

Every day, more than 9,000 pets are killed in America’s shelters simply because they don’t have a home. Each one an individual. Each one a valued life worth saving. 9,000. That number should be zero. And it can be. Strut Your Mutt® is just one example of how together, we can Save Them All.

Best Friends started Strut Your Mutt as a fundraising event 18 years ago in Salt Lake City. It was such a success that four years ago, we brought it to New York and Los Angeles to help animal welfare groups in those areas raise critical funds for their own work, saving lives in their own corners of the country. The ball has kept rolling, and this year, Strut Your Mutt is being held in 11 cities across the country and includes a virtual Strut Across America with the goal of raising $1.5 million to help save the lives of homeless pets.

No matter where you live, you can participate in Strut Your Mutt. The money you and others raise will support spay/neuter programs to keep pets out of shelters and adoption programs so more pets find safe and loving homes.Together, we can end the killing in America’s shelters. We can Save Them All.
