Independent Energy Solutions, Inc. Completes PV System for Stone Brewing Company in Escondido, California

Vista, CA, September 18, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Independent Energy Solutions, Inc. (IES) is pleased to announce the completion of a 360 kilowatt (kW) solar system for Stone Brewing Company in Escondido, California. The solar power system will generate enough energy to save Stone Brewing Company over 3.2 million dollars, producing over 12 million kWh over the next 25 years. This is equivalent to planting 172 acres of trees (or barley or hops as far as Stone is concerned). IES designed and built this grid-tied system which includes 1,388 Hyundai 260 watt Solar Panels and 14 Advanced Energy/Refusol 20 kW Inverters. IES utilized Everest Solar System’s D-Dome racking system, which is ideal for Stone’s flat roof. The innovative low-profile, partially-ballasted racking design helped IES design a larger system by making greater use of a complex rooftop.

A decentralized inverter approach was utilized which reduced overall system cost and will minimize downtime during maintenance. This system design provides Stone with higher overall system production, yielding a better return on investment as compared to a centralized inverter approach.
