Electro Standards Adds Multi-Channel, Hybrid Switch with DB25 and RJ11/12 Connectors to Product Line

The Model 9500 is a multi-channel, multi-interfaced network switch that allows 4 independent channels of A/B switching and a single channel of RJ11/12 A/B/C/D switching all in a 2U, 19-inch rackmount configuration.

Cranston, RI, September 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Model 9500 5-Channel Switch features four channels of DB25 A/B switching and one channel of RJ11/12 A/B/C/D switching packed into a 2U, 19-inch standard rackmount enclosure. This network switch is ideal for applications with a need to switch devices or networks with multiple interfaces, DB25 and RJ11/12. The highly-reliable Model 9500 comes with a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects.

The Model 9500 is comprised of 4 independent channels allowing quick connection among two DB25 interface devices (A and B) from one common port for each of the four channels. The fifth independent channel is comprised of an RJ11/12 connector allowing control of four RJ11/12 interface devices (A, B, C, and D) via one common port.

This unit requires no external power and features 5 front-panel rotary knobs to quickly switch each position for each channel. The four independent DB25 channels are controlled via 4 rotary knobs with A/B positions to switch between for each channel. The fifth knob allows control for each of the A/B/C/D positions of the RJ11/12 channel. All 25 pins of the DB25 interface are switched and all 6 pins of the RJ11/12 interface are switched. This Model 9500 incorporates a high-quality sealed switch with self-wiping low impedance contacts. The switch is transparent to data speed and format.

The rugged, anodized black box packaging provides EMI/RFI shielding. The unit measures 19.0” W x 3.5” H x 10.0” D (48.3 x 8.9 x 25.4 cm). The switch weighs approximately 10 lbs (4.5 kg). Network cables for the switch installation are also available from the company.

A specification sheet for the Model 9500 and a detailed application diagram are available on the company website. For more information on ESL data network switches or other network products, call 401-943-1164, eslab@ElectroStandards.com, or www.ElectroStandards.com.
