)-- Oklahoma singer and songwriter Dorenda Wynnette of ToshiCapital Rekordz was featured on the Maryland based Donny Walker Morning Show to discuss her hit single “Won’t Give Up.” After Jamaican based star BassieDee heard her music, he liked it and referred her to the program director of the radio station. When asked what her inspiration was for the popular tune, she said, “The experiences of others and the things that I have personally gone through are what inspired me to write the song. I want people to know that no matter what they are going through, they will make it through it, because I made it. Whatever you do, don’t give up.”
The unique gospel singer plans to release her debut album by the first quarter of 2014. It will be a mix of gospel and inspirational music with some surprise collaborations. Dorenda Wynnette is also an author with books published globally under the name Dorenda W. Madkins. She is working on her next book to be released in the coming months. The title of the book is yet to be announced. Her goal is to travel globally to inspire people through her music, books and poetry.
