“Golfers Gave Back” at CarePlus Foundation Second Annual Golf Outing

The CarePlus Foundation held its Second Annual “Golfers Give Back” outing at White Beeches Golf & Country Club in Haworth, NJ. The Foundation raised almost $80,000 which will directly benefit the clients and programs at CarePlus.

Paramus, NJ, September 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Beautiful weather made for a nice day for over 100 players who attended the CarePlus Foundation’s Second Annual “Golfers Give Back” outing at White Beeches Golf & Country Club in Haworth on September 16, 2013. The Foundation raised almost $80,000 to support the clients and programs of Care Plus NJ, Inc. (“CarePlus”), a mental health care organization located in northern New Jersey.

The event was sponsored by local and national businesses including Platinum sponsor Inserra Supermarkets. Columbia Bank, Roy W. Walters & Associates, the Fatigati Family, and Accredited Lock & Door Hardware Co. supported the event as Gold sponsors.

Attendees enjoyed brunch in the clubhouse prior to the shotgun start, lunch at the 10th tee grill, and snacks and drinks throughout the day on the course. Golfers also had the opportunity to win prizes for various competitions, such as longest drive and closest to the pin, in addition to lowest scores for the first and second place teams.

“Today was really fantastic and everyone seemed to have a great time. It was wonderful to have so much generous support for CarePlus from the local community,” said CarePlus Trustee and event co-chair Michael Fatigati. “We hope to continue the tradition of raising much needed funding for our clients at the outing next year,” he added.

The event was capped off by a cocktail hour and award presentations, raffles, and an auction during dinner at the country club. The three raffle winners of the Kwiat Diamond Jewelry, generously donated by Devon Fine Jewelry in Wyckoff, were announced after dinner.

The theme for this year’s outing ─ “Golfers Give Back” ─ was created to bring together individuals and groups who can help achieve new levels of awareness for the daily struggles of those suffering from mental illness. Proceeds will directly benefit the clients and programs of CarePlus by providing funding for shelter, medication, and education that might not otherwise be affordable.
