Salt Lake City, UT, September 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Fashion week style event now in Utah as (a)perture expands the 4th annual Art Meets Fashion to a two night event in Salt Lake City, October 11 and 12, 2013.

(a)perture marketing announces the 4th annual Art Meets Fashion (AMF) event on October 11 and 12 in Salt Lake City with ticket proceeds and art sales benefiting the Center for Documentary Expression and Art (www.cdautah.org) in a classic fashion week tent designed by Presenting Sponsor, In The Event.

In it’s two day expansion AMF, has included selected boutiques on Friday evening, including Farasha, Perfectly Suited, Chalk Garden, Unhinged and the 9th and 9th district Fresh, Apt202, Koodeker, Purse Dreams, and Nineteen70. Local salon styling from Lunatic Fringe, Landis, Salon O, Seiren, the Aveda Institute, and Got Beauty. Art Meets Fashion will have magazine programs available featuring fashion editorial spreads by some of the best local fashion photographers.

Fridays festivities will have an Interactive dining experience where patrons dine on the runway with 3 course Italian fare from Brio Tuscan Grille, while white couture designs from fashion designers Mary Rino, Nephi Garcia, Keith Bryce, Jordan Halversen, Rachel Domingo and Kelly Baker grace the runway. Live art and live music will top off the night in the gallery with lounges created by Hands of Industry.

On Saturday, AMF 2013 will premiere runway collections from ElizabethJane, Pretty Macabre, Ashley Huitzil, Rebecca Fenton, Heggy Gonzalez, McKell Maddox, Zoe Zoberski, and a selection of student designs from Salt Lake Fashion Institute. Following the runway presentations aperture will host a glamorous Masquerade Ball.

This years performances for Art Meets Fashion are presented by 11th Hauz, Urban Dance Organization, Conn Curran Trio, Dancers from Ballet West, Transfusion Hype, DJ and video installations from Siak and Cerci and DJ performance by Anton, Ria, DJ Che, Diamondz, and DJ V.

AMF is pleased to premiere ‘Ephemera’ a fine art exhibit, featuring original works by local artists Eric Overton, Jeffrey Hale, Nadia Rea Morales, Van Chu, Jake Buntjer, Duston Todd, and Casey Kawaguchi. ‘Ephemera’ will explore the concept of transitory matter and momentary experiences as relates to the artistic journey. AMF artists will offer unique and critical reflections via a range of media including works on paper, sculpture, painting, photography and video.

The Center for Documentary Expression and Art (CDEA) is dedicated to using the tools of documentary work—oral history, photography, film making, narrative writing, visual art, and music– to help Utahns look inward to better understand our state's past and present and to gaze outward to discover our multi-faceted connection to the nation and the world. CDEA creates and supports projects that examine and honor the cultural, spiritual, and ethnic identities of our nation's diverse population in forums wherein we can acknowledge differences, establish common ground, and hence, build community.

Art Meets Fashion is presented by In The Event, Premiere Event Services, Fashion Place Mall, SLCC Fashion Institute, MercoLocal, Hands of Industry, SLC Photo Collective, Brio Tuscan Grille, Southern Wine and Spirits, and HMG Productions.
