L7 Creative is proud to announce the launch of a fully redesigned website for MATHCOUNTS Foundation. The launch has already drawn a flurry of positive feedback from the MATHCOUNTS community. The new site positions the organization for growth by helping to engage more young people with a love of mathematics that is vital to success in today’s technology-driven world.
MATHCOUNTS is a nationwide non-profit organization that for over 30 years has been engaging students of all ability and interest levels in unique, fun and challenging math programs. When MATHCOUNTS came to L7 Creative, they were looking to update and streamline their website to embody the redefined core brand, organize the sub-brands, and easily route visitors to their desired destination within MATHCOUNTS.org.

L7 Creative stepped in and implemented a solution based on the Drupal open source web platform, a top choice for large enterprises and nonprofits worldwide due to its exceptional power and flexibility. Alongside the Drupal platform, L7 Creative developed innovative custom modules engineered to meet the needs of the MATHCOUNTS audience. The new sites include key features such as user-generated video content and personal stories; integrated ecommerce for fundraising; downloadable and interactive problem sets for teachers; and social media integration to help students share their love of math with others.
Another element of the relaunch is a groundbreaking fundraising tool called “Solve-A-Thon,” which gives students and teachers a safe and fun fundraising outlet to raise money for their school’s math club, using a math quiz game to spark donations from individual donors nationwide. “MATHCOUNTS approached L7 Creative with a vision to truly revolutionize school fundraising. It’s a brilliant idea and we connected with it right away on several levels,” said Executive Producer Harley Orion. “Bringing fundraising together with academics, instead of candy style drives, is a huge win-win for the students, parents, and schools. But combining this with the game metrics of a ‘solve-a-thon’ competition is what really makes this site a game-changer.”
With this new online tool, MATHCOUNTS will raise funds for individual school programs while also generating support for their continued growth. “We’re thrilled to serve as MATHCOUNTS’ digital partner in this evolution,” said Orion. “This project embodies the spirit of L7 Creative – we were able to work closely with the MATHCOUNTS team on an end-to-end effort that began with strategic planning, design, programming, and launch, and we look forward to seeing these new web properties take off as their audience begins to engage.”
The relaunch of the national organization site and the Solve-A-Thon tool has spread awareness of the foundation and their cause, as well as created a new platform for MATHCOUNTS that communicates their brand’s core values to its growing audience.
