)-- The husband and wife team of Ngiare and Kevin Hubbard are living out their dream, by founding Patrick-Jane’s Gourmet Pizza Bar in the heart of the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area. The fresh, simple, down to earth philosophy includes bringing local, farm-fresh ingredients to their guests as well as offering a gluten-free option for pizza, made from locally sourced gluten free buckwheat flour.
“Opening day is rapidly approaching,” said co-owner Ngiare Hubbard. “We’re spending our time on important details like tasting & networking with local vendors and sampling key ingredients which will define the taste and final product of our pizza-pie.”
“Local sourcing is very important to our vision,” added co-owner Kevin Hubbard. “So is our commitment to gluten-free products. We’ve just signed off on a gluten-free label for all of our GF products, so customers have piece-of-mind when they buy. The GF label means that we’ve prepared the products in the dedicated, gluten-free area of our kitchen, with utensils that are color-coded and designed for exclusive use with GF products.”

Ngiare and Kevin’s background includes considerable experience with customer service. When the met in 2009, they both shared a dream of opening a restaurant and focusing on the things that mattered to them,
including quality, locally-sourced fresh ingredients and an eye toward serving great meals for people with diet restrictions, in a worry-free atmosphere.
Ngiare is a native of Australia where she worked in the customer service industry, rising to become a Senior Vice-President of a major corporation. She relocated to the United States, where she learned the restaurant management skill she’s applying with Patrick-Jane’s while she was studying for a fitness certificate.
Kevin is a native of Pennsylvania and comes from a healthcare background. His career in medical research and clinical work has taken him around the world, with year-plus stays in places like Piedmont, Italy, Buenos Aires, Alaska and multiple US locations. His travels inform his choice of atmosphere, pizza and tapas menus and commitment to locally-sourced meals.
The Hubbards were attracted to the Research Triangle Park area because of their knowledge of the area, and their desire to offer unique, quality meals at an affordable price. Their plan is to design menu concepts that build a solid foundation for long-term success, repeat customer loyalty and growth.
