Shirley Caesar Featured on Sonorous Entertainment Inc.’s Continuing Gospel History Program "Christian Minstrel Pioneers"

Toronto, Canada, October 06, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The spotlight shines on the life of Shirley Caesar, the reigning Queen of Gospel, in the latest episode of the gospel artist history program. “Christian Minstrel Pioneers” looks at another legendary gospel artist in the third installment of the program that has already profiled The Five Blind Boys of Alabama and Reverend James Cleveland. Born in 1938, in Durham, North Carolina, Shirley Caesar began her singing career at a young age, singing in church with her father and her siblings. From 1958 until 1966 she sang with The Caravans, the renowned gospel group that featured other influential gospel singers, such as Albertina Walker, Inez Andrews and Reverend James Cleveland. She left The Caravans to pursue a solo career, and continues to record solo, as well as with others.
