Downtown Los Angeles Based Artist Coalition Announces Four Worthy Adversaries: An Event to Raise Money for the Boyle Heights Technology Youth Center

Four Worthy Adversaries: One city. One cause. Infinite art. No limits.

Los Angeles, CA, October 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- A group of local artists and performers invite community members to attend the “Four Worthy Adversaries” event on Friday October 25, 2013 at Curved Alley Gallery. Detailed information about the event can be found at: www.fourworthyadversaries.com

The Cause
The event aims to bring together the symbiotic relationship of music, film, food and visual art with proceeds directly benefiting The Boyle Heights Technology Youth Center through Girls Today, Women Tomorrow, a local charity with a mission to help create opportunities for youth to achieve their education, employment and personal development goals.

“Boyle Heights Technology Youth Center is an incredible place that exists now on the border of what used to be one of the most dangerous blocks just outside of downtown. The past is a reminder of where our youth could end up if not for places like the Youth Center and the incredibly committed people working there. These artists are leading forces in shaping our city and creating a place where art can thrive. The money raised by Four Worthy Adversaries will go to help developing just that.”– Ozzie Lopez, Charity Leader

The Event
This event begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Curved Alley Gallery, located next to The Daily Dose. Guests will enjoy handcrafted appetizers, tapas and desserts and guests over 21 can take advantage of the open bar- all provided by local businesses. Live performances will begin after the premiere of the Bunny West music video for “Honey” at 8:00 p.m. including musical acts, live paintings and hand balancing and contortion acts performed by Cirque School LA artists.

“With locally based sponsors and volunteers, Four Worthy Adversaries has grown from a small dream between friends on a bar on 4th and Main, into a full-fledged reality for the city to experience. This is an event for the sake of doing something good for our local heroes and creating a platform for our artists to share what they have worked tirelessly on with the people of their community. Come be a part of something bigger than yourself and experience, Four Worth Adversaries.” – Brianna Rettig, Local Artist and Founder of Four Worthy Adversaries.

The suggested donation is $10 but not required to all in attendance. For more information about the event or to make a donation online, please visit www.fourworthyadversaries.com
