Pushing against the pigeonhole: f8 Photo Studios Serves Up Both Commercial and Bridal Images in Metro Magazine

Raleigh, NC, September 16, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Original commercial and bridal photography by Jonathan Kaz and Cara Grace Galati of f8 Photo Studios in Raleigh recently appeared in back-to-back editions of Metro Magazine, a monthly, four-color regional publication serving Raleigh, the Research Triangle and Eastern North Carolina.

Metro’s August edition featured f8’s work for Samuel Cole Salon in Raleigh. The images accompanied an article about a national award the salon received this summer. The owners originally commissioned the photography so that they could entered Salon Today magazine’s annual “Salons of the Year” décor competition, which is open to hair styling salons and spas throughout North America. The photographs helped the North Raleigh salon walk away with the First Runner Up award, placing it second only to the grand-prize winner, Frederic Fekkai’s new salon in New York City. American Salon magazine also ran a feature on the salon, with f8’s images, in June.

In its September edition, Metro used three f8 bridal images for its “Southern Style” section to illustrate a feature entitled “Triangle Weddings Today: They’re Creative, They’re Green, They’re Highly Individual.” Two of the photographs are moments-in-time images from beachside wedding. The third is a still life of flowers and candles at a wedding reception.

“We’re grateful to be published in a variety of publications, which shows off the diversity of what we bring to the table as partners,” said Kaz. “It lets our clients know that we’re always pushing ourselves to try different avenues of our art -- for example, being published for two different lines of photography service in two consecutive months in Metro.”

Galati and Kaz joined forces as commercial photographers a year ago after each had enjoyed successful solo careers. According to the partners, they continually update their skills to provide clients with the latest photographic digital imaging techniques to enhance a variety of projects, from weddings to architecture to corporate commissions.
