Shirley Caesar, the reigning Queen of Gospel, is featured on the fourth album release for Sonorous Entertainment Inc.'s Harvest Gospel Album Series.

Toronto, Canada, October 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Shirley Caesar, the reigning Queen of Gospel, is featured on the fourth album release for Sonorous Entertainment Inc.'s Harvest Gospel Album Series. Early in her career, Shirley Caesar was known by many names, but it wasn't long before she earned the title of “The First Lady of Gospel.” Her career began at an early age with her singing in her church choir in Durham, North Carolina. She went on to sing with “The Caravans,” a renowned gospel group that featured other influential gospel singers such as Albertina Walker, Inez Andrews and Reverend James Cleveland. She remained with the group from 1958 until 1966, when she left to begin her solo recording career. She has won many Grammy Awards, including her first in 1972 for “Put Your Hand in the Hand Of The Man From Galilee,” as well as many Dove and Stellar Gospel Awards. With her light alto voice, extensive range and her talent for the dramatization of songs, Shirley Caesar has rooted herself in gospel music history.

Twelve re-mastered tracks are featured on this new album, including her classic songs such as “Jordan River,” “Tear Your Kingdom Down” and “Don't Drive Your Mama Away.” “Harvest Collection: Shirley Caesar” became available online and in participating retail outlets on October 29, 2013.
