Rapper Cocky da Homo MC Preps A Capella Rock Album

Inspired by Todd Rundgren, Bjork, and Mike Patton, Cocky da Homo MC announces A Capella album.

New York, NY, November 07, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Following in the footsteps of Todd Rundgren, Bjork, and Mike Patton, gay rap pioneer Cocky da Homo MC has begun work on a ten track album consisting of manipulated vocal and nasal samples. Producing the record entirely by himself and drawing inspiration from both modern pop and alternative rock, "The Beautiful But Damned" is said to be a concept album based upon the rise and fall of a fictional gay rap star.

Cocky da Homo MC is best known for his debut mix tape "Gay Rap Beef" which garnered a total of 4,500 downloads on hip hop mix tape site Datpiff.com in June, making it the most downloaded release by an openly gay rapper yet. The mix tape broke new ground in LGBT hip hop circles for its dark, sardonic lyricism and ominous musical production. The rapper hopes to top his prior release's unusual production by assembling together self-recorded vocal samples mimicking percussion, guitars, and various other instruments.

"The Beautiful But Damned" is set to be released in second-quarter 2014 under online electronic distribution label Masculim Ltd. A lyric-video of the record's catchy first single, "The Second P" will be available to view on Youtube this coming Friday, November 8th.
