Johnstown natives and singer/songwriters Walt Churchey and Jackie Kopco have, at long last, combined their talents to produce a CD of holiday songs titled, “Take Time.” “We've been in this business for a long time, and we both absolutely love this time of year mostly because of the music. It just felt like the right time to put together a holiday collection,” muses Churchey. While you'll find Christmas classics like “Silent Night” and “Little Drummer Boy” on the album, you'll be treated to interpretations that reflect Walt & Jackie's unique style. According to Kopco, “There is beauty in listening to your favorite versions of these songs every Christmas, but sometimes hearing a song done in a new and different way makes you fall in love with it all over again.” With originals like the thoughtful title track, “Take Time,” and the heart-felt and haunting, “Christmas Day,” Walt & Jackie bring the sights and emotions of the holidays back home to their roots. Having chosen songs that are near and dear to their hearts, Walt & Jackie feel that the album truly embraces the spirit of Christmas. “We are so excited that our fans will get to take home this new album and make it a part of their holiday traditions,” said Churchey.
