South Pasadena, CA, November 20, 2013 --(
PR.com)-- Made with top of the line components, the X-Treme XB-200Li Folding Electric Bicycle has been added to UrbanScooters.com's extensive line of scooters and bikes.
Coming in at less than 40 lbs. total weight, the XB-200Li packs enough strength and power to easily accommodate anyone.
Offering a hand-welded, all aluminum alloy frame, the XB-200Li comes in a natural polished aluminum or black finish. The light yet super strong frame is a super folding model that can easily be folded down to an extremely compact size of 25” x 31” x 7”, which makes for easy and convenient storage on the back seat of a car, under a desk or RV table, or in a small locker.
“This unit, while medium sized, packs ample power to get you around easily and safely,” said Frank Minero, president of UrbanScooters.com.
The XB-200Li has a quick disconnect brushless 300 watt rear hub motor that can help the rider attain a top speed of 15mph, though the bike can readily go faster with pedaling. Coming to a stop is easy, as the XB-200LI is fitted with front and rear WinZip disc brakes, and comes with a safety switch that cuts the throttle at any time the brakes are applied.
It has a removable lightweight lithium-ion battery pack with seven cells, which stores enough power for a 25 mile range. A charger is included.
It is fitted with a seven speed Shimano gear system. A button on the handlebar allows the rider to easily toggle in and out of power assist mode. For security, the XB-20Li has a key lock, and the rider can easily see and be seen with its LED headlight.
The XB-200Li has large 12.5” aluminum mag wheels that are fitted with high-quality Kenda tires. It also has a fully adjustable, low profile Velo seat that adjusts from 26” to 36”. It is a super soft, low profile seat with a double rubber spring for the ultimate in rider comfort, and is attached to a micro-adjustable seat post.
The XB-200Li is legally classified as an electric bicycle, which means it can be operated without registration, a driver's license or insurance in most states.
