Free Introductory Certified Chair Yoga Class for Local Residents at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Franklin, NC December 2nd from 12-12:30 p.m.
Franklin, NC, November 25, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Tamera Nielsen, Certified Chair Yoga Teacher at Feel Well Yoga, Author, and Wellness Coach is offering a one-time, complementary Chair Yoga Class for local residents to help promote wellness for all levels of fitness and flexibility. This half-hour class will be held Monday, December 2nd from 12-12:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Franklin, located at 80 Sierra Lane in Franklin.

“Everyone – regardless of physical challenges - can receive healthful benefits from this unique style of chair yoga,” says Nielsen who lives with an incurable, oft-times debilitating disease. A past-user of wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches, Nielsen is intimately familiar with physical limitations and uses this knowledge to help others feel well as will be the case at this complimentary class.

This class is for anyone who is more comfortable exercising off the floor rather than on it, and is especially helpful to those living with chronic pain/disease, arthritis, joint challenges, as well as stroke survivors and individuals using Assisted Walking Devices (wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, prosthetics).

In a nurturing, empathetic setting, participants are guided through exercises, poses, and breathing techniques that can be used anywhere, anytime to promote overall wellness. Additional benefits include: improved balance, circulation, posture, strength, flexibility, mental focus; reduced stress, pain, fatigue; increased muscle strength, mental acuity, coordination, and energy level, and an overall sense of mind/body empowerment.

“We may be victimized by life’s challenges, but behaving like a victim is a choice,” Nielsen says, “We can make life’s challenges and traumas better by the choices we make and the attitudes we take. For anyone who wants to transform challenges into empowerment, this class is for them.”
