The conference will include expert lectures, training courses for individuals wanting to extend their SQL knowledge. Scalability Experts is featuring 4 of its employees as speakers at the 2007 PASS Community Summit.

Raj Gill, CTO and co-founder of Scalability Experts has extensive experience in all areas of database architecture management, deployment and development and will be presenting a session entitled, “Taking Control of your SQL Server 2005 Workloads” Gill will discuss the most effective ways in which to govern workloads and how it can improve SQL Server implementations. There will also be discussion concerning which scenarios are most beneficial from workload governance and how governance and separation implementations are applied in a variety of architectures.

Scalability Experts Chief Architect, Joe Yong will be speaking at this year's annual SQL PASS Conference this year in Denver, CO as well. A regular speaker for various US and International Conferences, Yongs’ skill, technical leadership and efficient delivery of services to strategic customers makes him an authority in the field of SQL Server 2005. His session, “SQL Server 2005 Consolidation: Lesson Learned” is solely focused on DBA and Enterprise Database Administration and Deployment and will examine specific capabilities of SQL Server and hardware platforms that will aid efforts from storage design guidelines to any consolidated environment. Yong will also discuss several real-life server consolidation projects including consolidating 50 to 3000 servers and utilizing the methods, tools and processes that prove as best practices. Yong strives to equip attendees with major considerations, both technical and non-technical for consolidations while examining the most effective methods and avoiding common mistakes.

Scalability Experts Sr. Solutions Consultants Rich Heiges and Larry Chestnut, the company’s database architect and business unit leader, will be hosting a session, “Dynamic Duo: View and Functions to make your life easier” at the conference. Heiges has extensive experience with PASS having been involved since spring of 2001, and Chestnut has more than 9 years of experience with SQL Server, including version 6.5. The joint session discussions will inform attendees how the latest features inside SQL Server 2005, DMVs, can work for them. The session will also cover how to successfully combine DMVs to create individual sets of DMVs, and become knowledgeable about the reports available in SSMS based on DMVs. Demonstrations will be included using DMVs, SSMS Reports and the successful integration of DMVs to receive the information needed.
