Adding a Hip Hop Twist to Christmas

For the 5th year, Urban Fire Dance Studio will add a hip hop flavor to both the Port St. Lucie and Ft. Pierce Christmas parades.

Port St. Lucie, FL, December 07, 2013 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, December 7, 2013, dancers from classes at the Ft. Pierce studio will briefly perform in the Festival of Lights at the Port St. Lucie City Center at 2pm, before they are joined in the parade by students from their classes at Renaissance Charter and Tradition Charter schools.

Students from the studio's Hip Hop III class will perform in the Main Street Christmas Festival in Ft. Pierce at 2:30pm on Sunday, December 8, 2013, before being joined by the rest of the studio and off-site classes for the parade through downtown Ft. Pierce.

"We love participating in these community events each year," said Devin Ziemba, Artistic Director at Urban Fire, "because it gives the kids a chance to let loose and have fun. Plus, performing gives many of them a chance to get rid of any nervousness they have in anticipation of our Christmas Showcase, which usually happens a couple weeks after the parades."
