Building Envelope Course Approved for Continuing Education Hours Through Department of Business and Professional Regulation

The Building Envelope Science Institute’s BEC-2 course has been approved for 22 Continuing Education hours through the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (Provider #0005939; Course #0610935).

Gainesville, FL, December 12, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Building Envelope Science Institute (BESI) will be re-offering their Building Envelope Certified Inspector (BEC-2) course in Gainesville, Florida from January 20-22, 2014. The course, which certified 20 students in October 2013, has now been approved for 22 Continuing Education hours by the Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB) for the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR). The Institute’s provider number is 0005939, and the DBPR course number for BEC-2 is 0610935.

This course, which includes BET-1 (an introductory training course), consists of three days of intensive instruction on the inspections and assessments of residential and commercial buildings. Student who are registered contractors or certified contractors in the state of Florida will be able to use BEC-2 to satisfy continuing education requirements needed for the upkeep of these registrations and certifications.

In addition to offering Continuing Education hours through the Florida DBPR, BEC-2 has also been approved to offer CEUs for a number of other organizations. More information about applicable hours for each organization can be found on the BESI website at www.BESInstitute.com.
