Innovation Direct™ to Present Mechanic Creeper Invention to Potential Licensees in Industry

South Miami, FL, December 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- An innovative new and considerable improvement on the design of an often used automotive repair accessory, the Mechanic Creeper, has been developed by David Scott of Tucson, Arizona. The invention’s unique design provides mechanics with a more streamlined and effective version of a “mechanic’s creeper” device.

Auto mechanics rely heavily on an assortment of various accessories and tools to effectively tackle the many different potential repair problems a vehicle can present. One of the most essential in terms of providing access to hard-to-reach areas is the standard "creeper" device, which is intended to allow the user to work comfortably on the components and parts located on the underside of the vehicle. Although intended to serve an important function, the reality is that the design of the conventional version of this product has some inherent problems, including not providing a low enough profile and also tending to get jammed or stuck on obstructions on the repair shop floor.

With this in mind, the Mechanic Creeper has been conceived. The Mechanic Creeper features a dual roller blade design that allows it to easily roll over obstructions, such as cracks on the shop floor. Furthermore, the Mechanic Creeper offers a significantly higher degree of maneuverability when compared to current version of the same product. The Mechanic Creeper will be fabricated from formidable materials, including steel and aluminum. The Mechanic Creeper also features a comfortable back pad that will be capable of being adjusted to obtain a low profile.

The Mechanic Creeper is also the subject of US Patent 8,056,908 B2 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Mr. Scott now seeks a third party licensee to manufacture, market, and distribute the product for him under a royalty agreement. Potential licensees in the automotive repair accessories industry are currently being targeted as candidates to eventually commercialize Mechanic Creeper on a worldwide basis.

In June 2013, Mr. Scott contracted product management services leader Innovation Direct™ to represent Mechanic Creeper to potential licensees for a 2 year period. Innovation Direct™ obtains the maximum amount of exposure for the products that it represents through its unique and patented licensing methodology and its participation in multiple and diverse industry-leading trade shows each year.
