Sonam Dhage: on Playing One of the Leads in Star-Studded Feature

Los Angeles, CA, December 26, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Not too young, but maybe the reason why she’s so ambitious, Sonam is no stranger to success. From her days as a dance choreographer, print campaigns, college plays, commercials and TV spots, she’s come a long, encouraging way.

To add to her flourishing career, actress and writer Sonam Dhage is currently shooting an Indian-American feature, ‘Khazana’ or ‘Treasured’, in Los Angeles. The director, Rahul Nath is a prominent writer, director and choreographer himself. He wrote and directed the feature, ‘Foreign’, for which he won the best directing and best film award at the Goa International Film Festival in 2010. Similar to his previous projects, ‘Foreign’ and ‘Compromise’, Khazana too will have a a high shock value, guaranteed to produce a lasting effect on the audience. It has already been selected to showcase at the South Asian Film Foundation in Goa and the Jaipur International Film festival.

Sonam stars as a snotty, conniving yet a sweet girl who conspires with her mother in making life a living hell for the daughter-in-law, played by Ulka Singh Mohanty. Sonam gushes, “This is one of the spunkiest, friendliest yet the most inhuman character I’ve ever played!” Let’s hope one can soon witness this psychotic yet affable character in the melodramatic, family-centered feature, on-screen!
