The Las Olas Art Fair Part I, ranked 47th top art fair in the United States by Sunshine Artist, the nation’s leading publication for art and craft shows, returns January 4 – 5, 2014. The jury process is well underway and festival promoter Howard Alan Events promises to deliver another spectacular first-rate art affair that festival patrons have come to expect. The show will once again feature the finest artists in the country, welcoming back many favorites and introducing new artists to South Florida. Partial proceeds from the festival benefit the Las Olas Association. Admission is free and open to the public.
“We look forward to each Las Olas Art Fair,” says festival promoter Howard Alan. “These shows are highly anticipated, festival patrons return to each one eager to see new work by their favorite artists and explore the art of new exhibitors.”
Art enthusiasts have the opportunity to engage the artists to gain a better understanding of their work and inspiration as they stroll through the vast array of quality original art on display and for sale. They will also be able to register to win artwork by an exhibiting artist; no purchase is necessary to participate.
The 2014 Las Olas Art Fair collectors’ edition poster, featuring the work of artist Sharon Kusha, will be available for sale on site during the festival. Sharon’s paintings are distinctive and recognizable due to her use of bold and bright colors, primarily working with acrylic paints. She is greatly influenced by the architecture and tropical setting of Key West. Her work is displayed at several galleries and in juried fine art shows throughout Florida.
Las Olas Art Fair Part II has been scheduled for March 1 – 2, 2014 as part of an exciting Howard Alan Events Spring line up.
