Carolina Wing Company Presents Viva Las Vegas Night to Benefit Project: Wheels for Heroes Jan. 11

Local Restaurant Hosts Finale Event with Live Entertainment, a Las Vegas Vacation Raffle and More to Donate Action Trackchair to Operation: Coming Home Veteran

Raleigh, NC, January 04, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Milton Barber, owner of Carolina Wing Company, Raleigh’s neighborhood restaurant and bar “serving the best wings in town,” has announced that the restaurant will host a special “Viva Las Vegas Night” finale event to close its Project: Wheels for Heroes. Working in partnership with Operation: Coming Home, Project: Wheels For Heroes is a two-month fundraising campaign working to raise $20,000 to purchase an Action Trackchair for a disabled combat veteran and Operation: Coming Home Hero Home recipient who served in the Middle East. Beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, the event will take place at Carolina Wing Company, located at 7504 Creedmoor Road.

Viva Las Vegas Night will feature live, Vegas-themed entertainment, games, cocktails, dinner and a special Elvis Presley tribute performance featuring Alvis, one of North Carolina’s top Elvis impersonators. Admission is $200 for two tickets, with proceeds going toward the purchase of the Action Trackchair. In addition to attending the event, individuals can support the effort by purchasing an official Project: Wheels For Heroes t-shirt for $20. All proceeds from t-shirt sales will go directly to the Project’s efforts.

As part of the fundraising efforts, a raffle will be held for a romantic giveaway package including hotel reservations at a Raleigh Marriott, dinner downtown and two tickets to North Carolina Theatre’s production of Les Misérables. In addition, Carolina Wing Company will be raffling off a four-day, three-night trip to Las Vegas with airfare and hotel accommodations included.

The Action Trackchair is an off-road wheelchair built to help disabled individuals enjoy and navigate the great outdoors, including all types of terrain. The Action Trackchair will be awarded to a veteran during the event.

Quotes:
“We are honored to have the support of Operation: Coming Home and to work in partnership with such a great organization to help a local veteran enjoy the outdoors again,” said Barber. “The courage our veterans display in serving our country is truly remarkable and we are excited to be able to show our appreciation for all that they do through this fun and entertaining event. It is our hope that our efforts to help out these heroes will inspire others to do the same.”
