Designer Therez Fleetwood Joins Premiere Bridal Resource Website in Creating the “Ultimate African-American Bridal Show Experience”

Ebony-Weddings.com was created by husband-and-wife team Sonya Harris-Jones and Oscar L. Jones, whose 2005 nuptials were preceded by frustration over the lack of available matrimonial resources that spoke specifically to their African-American identity. After making contacts and exchanging ideas with various vendors, the Jones’ launched Ebony-Weddings.com in 2006. With planning tips and a directory of services including photographers, reception locations, florists, catering and much more, the site assists clients while promoting black-owned businesses at the same. Therez Fleetwood

Therez Fleetwood's bridal designs have been featured in the “New York Gets Married” and “Black Style Now” exhibits at the Museum of the City, as well as the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, where she designed an original wedding gown to support fund-raising efforts for “The Lost Boys of the Sudan” initiative. She’s also had pieces at the Black Fashion Museum, located at her alma mater, the Fashion Institute of Technology. InStyle Weddings, Brides Noir, Wedding Dresses and the Knot have all featured Therez Fleetwood designs and her television appearances include the Today Show, Good Day New York and BET Nightly News.
