)-- Java Express, located in the Historic District at FM 518 and Wisconsin, has been acquired by Espresso Joz, LLC, a Nevada corporation. The four-year veteran coffee shop will be managed by Lori LeBlanc, a local pharmacist and long-time Friendswood resident. Java Express’ new hours are Monday through Friday 6am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 5pm.
The updated menu will include lattes, chillers (iced coffees), and frappes (blended drinks). Snack items will be available to complement your espresso drink. In addition, a limited selection of breakfast and lunch items will be available daily. Java Express will be adding Christian gift items and books for the upcoming holiday season.
The official grand opening celebration is scheduled for Saturday, September 29, 2007 from 9am to 6pm. The coffee shop will serve cake and give away several door prizes. Participants will also be able to register to win a coffee gift basket. Discount coupons are available at Java Express for this celebration.
