LEAP Recognizes Top Medical Professionals with Distinguished Honors

Washington, DC, February 08, 2014 --(PR.com)-- As Lawrence Executive Alliance of Professionals (LEAP), LLC begins another promising year as a recognized leader in the medical staffing industry, 2013 honors are being bestowed upon its top medical professionals and employees. While the company itself won the Small Business Community Association’s Best of Business Award for 2013, and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Clayton G. Lawrence was nominated for the Washington Business Journal’s Minority Business Leader Award, as well as the Small Business Administration’s Small Business Person of the Year Award, it is talented and exceptional employees like Leslie Le, Ebony Matthews, Molly Koczarski, and Erin Cummings that continue to drive its success.

LEAP’s Employee of the Year Winner, Leslie Le, exemplifies the caliber of professionals that LEAP recruits and deploys in the medical staffing industry. As a dedicated oncological pharmacist, Leslie recognizes not only the utter significance of her professional role, but of the greater importance in treating each patient with the utmost dignity, respect, and compassion. “When I am not busy with checking or verifying, I often take my time to walk around the infusion clinic to greet the patients to ask if they need any refills for the day or have any questions regarding the medications. I empathize with the stress that they are going through, mentally and physically. I want them to know that I am there not only as a pharmacist, but also as a friend, and as family,” Leslie says.

The Distinguished Service Award, earned by Ebony Matthews, recognizes an individual whose contributions have been critical to organizational growth and establishing meaningful structure. Ebony has played a vital role in developing key programs and processes for LEAP in its integrated pharmacy. As the first pharmacist chosen for this position, Ebony helped create and implement training templates and systems to seamlessly transition new pharmacists into a variety of pharmaceutical roles. Ebony’s leadership at leap can be summed up in her following quote. “I take pride in my position and work hard every day to improve myself professionally and the environment that I work in.”

LEAP’s Community Service Award is awarded to the employee that has been active in improving the community through his or her role as a medical professional. This year’s winner, Molly Koczarski is a registered dietician at the McChord Health and Wellness Center at the McChord Field Fitness Center Annex. Molly works directly with two branches of the military, the Army and the Air Force, to provide service members with health and wellness programs designed to meet needs of military bases, as well as specialized needs for military personnel. Molly works to build strong relationships with her clients stating, “I’m not [their] enemy, I’m [their] friend. I’m going to cater to what they need.” A colleague of Molly’s, health education promotion manager Danielle Knutson, describes Molly by stating, “Her main goal is to work in community outreach to promote health education to improve your quality of life, and she’s been right on target.”

The Customer Service Award, presented to an employee that embodies the true essence of always putting the customer first, was given to Erin Cummings. A pharmacist staffed at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital Pharmacy, and a military spouse, Erin is no stranger to dedication and sacrifice, which is part of what makes her exceptional in her role with LEAP. “I feel a certain amount of satisfaction in knowing that what I do supports the families of our nation’s service members and veterans, and I constantly strive to provide them the service they deserve. I take pride in knowing that I am always striving to make our patients’ experience at the pharmacy better.”

LEAP is honored to present each of these dedicated professionals with their respective awards and recognizes that its continued success will always be tied to its ability to recruit outstanding medical leaders such as these. LEAP congratulates all four of the winners and the entire organization for a remarkable year in 2013.
