SFL Experts to Present and Chair Sessions at the 2014 DIA Annual Euromeeting in Vienna

SFL experts will present on EU medical device/IVD law, public & regulatory affairs synergies and transparency of payments to the healthcare sector at 2014 DIA Annual EuroMeeting.

Basel, Switzerland, February 12, 2014 --(PR.com)-- SFL is pleased to announce its participation at the upcoming 26th DIA Annual EuroMeeting to be held in Vienna, 25-27 March 2014. As in previous years, SFL’s team is heavily involved in the DIA meeting, serving as a Member of the DIA EuroMeeting Program Committee.

Members of the team will give presentations and chair sessions on high profile topics such as the regulation of medical devices and combination products, synergies of public affairs and regulatory affairs functions, and transparency of payments to the healthcare sector.

On Wednesday, 26 March afternoon, Anna Hallersten, SFL’s Public Affairs Director, will give a presentation entitled “Synergies of Public Affairs and Regulatory Affairs Functions - How to maximise internal coordination and external impact?” in a session devoted to regulatory intelligence input into development strategies.

On Thursday, 27 March morning, Shayesteh Fürst-Ladani, SFL’s Managing Director, will be chairing and presenting at the session “The new regulatory outlook for devices, IVDs and combination products.” This session will examine major changes in the forthcoming EU Regulations on medical devices and IVDs and evaluate the impact on drug/device combination products and companion diagnostics. This educational session is timely given the fast-moving developments taking place in the field of medical device regulation.

Also on Thursday morning, Samantha Regenthal, SFL’s Head Legal & Compliance Management Services will be chairing the session “Transparency of payments to the healthcare sector.”
