Victoria Shaffer Lands her Own Radio Show

"Tails of the City" premiers this week on Pet Life Radio.

New York, NY, March 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Victoria Shaffer, 20-years-old, has been named as host of "Tails of the City", a new radio show on Pet Life Radio (PLR).

Victoria has the distinction of being the youngest host on PLR. An aspiring actress and animal enthusiast, she is a junior at The New School and lives in Manhattan with her two dogs, Rue and Echo.

"The Tails of the City" host was offered the gig following an interview she did with her dad, Paul Shaffer (the David Letterman band leader) to promote their PSA for the Humane Society of the United States and The Shelter Pet Project. During an interview on Arden Moore's "Oh Behave" show on PLR, Victoria had mentioned her ultimate goal of wanting to be a tv talk show host. "I was so impressed with her poise, her passion and her maturity that I thought she would be a welcome addition to our roster of hosts," said Mark Winter, Co-Founder and Executive Producer of PLR.

Tails of the City will follow Victoria as she interviews New Yorkers, asking them for advice on how they do it-- caring for their dogs, juggling home life with a career, all the while managing to survive in the world's most hectic city. She will also interview celebrities about their own experiences and their pet related projects.

The theme song for Tails of the City was written and produced by Paul Shaffer.

Victoria's first guest is Ty Burrell who plays the voice of Mr. Peabody (the dog) in the upcoming animated film Mr. Peabody and Sherman. In addition to asking him about his preparation for that role, she also interviews him about life with his own dogs and he reveals a funny anecdote about the very strange place his dog, Liza, goes to take her naps! In addition, she gets Ty to spill the beans about some of the remote locations Modern Family will be traveling to this season.

Victoria also interviews the hilarious Gilbert Gottfried about his voice-over career. When asked how he prepared for the voice of the parrot Iago in Disney's Aladdin, he quipped, "I lived with a family of parrots for a year...I work like DeNiro!"
