)-- Training with the Santa Clarita Runner’s Club, local business owner Rafi Mardiros of Magic Lock and Key will run in the 2014 Asics Los Angeles Marathon.
The Asics Los Angeles Marathon is a marathon charity drive for many charity organizations including, but not limited to, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or ALSAC, Lupus LA of SLE Lupus Foundation and DBA Lupus LA, Team To End AIDS or T2, Team World Vision, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team In Training, the Los Angeles Boys and Girls Club, the Courage Campaign, the American Indian Community Council, the Asian American Drug Abuse Program, Inc. or AADAP, and ThinkCure! There are also featured charities from other organizations including, but also not limited to, the Fulfillment Fund, Kitten Rescue, the Corazon de Vida Foundation, Dream Center, and Train for Autism. This marathon occurs every year in the spring and strives to raise over four million dollars each year. Many teams register to run and many charities register to raise money for their cause. Among these teams this year is the Santa Clarita Runner's Club.
Rafi Mardiros is a professional locksmith from Valencia; he owns the local business Magic Lock and Key, and is a part of the Santa Clarita Runner's Club.
“I am proud to represent Valencia with the Santa Clarita Runner’s Club,” said Mardiros. “It’s a great organization with great people, and I’m excited for the event. We all are.”
Mardiros will be running the Asics Los Angeles Marathon on Sunday, March 9, 2014. Mardiros will not only be representing Valencia at this 26.2-mile marathon this year, but he will also be representing his team, the Santa Clarita Runner's Club, and his business, Magic Lock and Key.
