Handel’s Messiah

The Messiah Project will perform Selections from the Easter portion of Messiah by G.F. Handel in the main sanctuary First Baptist Church 525 South Avenue, Springfield, MO at 7:00 PM Friday April 4, 2014. The performance will also include Credo Dance Academy. This is a free concert and open to the general public.

They are committed to producing all performances with live music and minimal sound reinforcement. This event will reveal the character and interest-holding value of fine arts to a broad range of people who might not be familiar with this genre of music.

The Messiah Project has presented this Oratorio through-out the world. Recent appearances include the first ever presentation in Moscow Russia’s Kremlin State Theater, as well as international festivals in Halle Germany, and Salzburg Austria. A chorus from the Messiah Project returned in February from its first concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

This concert will be made up of singers from several local churches and organizations from throughout the Ozarks.
