Washington, DC, January 14, 2006 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday January 14th at 7 AM on Heaven 1580 AM, and again on Sunday January 15th at 7 AM on WPGC 95.5 HisShoes Ministry (www.hisshoes.org) is featured on a 30 Minute Talk Show. Minister Wendell Hankins provides an enthusiastic, empowering, and enlightening insight into HisShoes in his conversation with host Guy Lambert.
On January 14, 2005, the spiritually blessed and extremely talented hosts of HisShoes Television will engage an audience in excess of 300 youth and young adults in "FACE OFF," an electrifying exploration of what's behind the masks that our younger generation is wearing. The talk show will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Metropolitan Baptist Church, 1225 R Street NW, Washington, DC as part of their Teen Convocation.
HisShoes is a ministry led by youth and young adult and delivered to their peers providing an in-depth discussion of issues relevant to their lives.
"The ministry provides an incredible opportunity for young adults to put their Christian faith into action," says Reverend Melvin M. Maxwell, Founder of HisShoes Ministries. “We believe that something more has to be done to empower, redirect, and heal the broken spirits of today’s youth. The truth is that something else, something greater, something more powerful, and even more radical, has to be established in order to compete and contend with the harsh reality of today’s society.”
On the surface HisShoes may seem like an ordinary youth ministry, however, the depth in which issues are dealt with psychologically, physically, emotionally and spiritually are extraordinary.
HisShoes brings together hundreds of youth/young adults (ages 13 to 24) in a studio, community, or a church and via HisShoes Television, a peer-to-peer talk show commences. The hosts engage the audience in any and all issues mostly those constituting sin as it relates to the Gospel. The HisShoes formula for success is its energy. HisShoes feeds off the energy that the youth present as they charge themselves up over their issues, while our hosts provide spiritual nourishment and solutions for the youth in dealing with their issues.
