The Tesla Group Announces Former WR Michael Clayton to Launch "Beat The Press" Radio Podcast Show

New York, NY, March 24, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Michael Clayton, former wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Super Bowl XVLI Giants is set to launch his first radio podcast with Pro Football Central (PFC). The podcast show entitled, “Beat the Press” is scheduled to launch March 26, 2014, with a "Baller or Buster" format.

After many successful years as a sports analyst and commentator for shows, such as, CBS Tampa “Sports Extra,” the Big Ten Network Football & Beyond, NFL International Series, FOX 5 NY Sports Xtra,” and FOX 59 Indianapolis Super Bowl Coverage, Michael has established a good reputation in broadcasting. Michael easily transitions his animated broadcast personality into radio and it was his charisma that led to meeting Brian Harrington, CEO of Pro Football Central at Radio Row during the NY/NJ Superbowl this year.

Pro Football Central was established in 2006 and has made its name as the trendsetter in breaking news and information, focusing on the good in the NFL and supporting great charities from the players. High profile guest such as Lance Briggs, Roddy White, Darrelle Revis, Anquan Boldin, and many others have all made their way as guests on shows within the podcasts. For the “Beat the Press” hour segment, Michael will co-host with sports writer Turron Davenport. The first half hour will start off with their special guest, Jarvis Landry as he paves his way to the NFL Draft in May from Louisiana State University. Beat The Press will then lead into the “Baller or Buster” segment, with the “Baller’s” being former NFL linebacker Derrick Brooks calling in discussing his Brooks Debartolo High School program, and former football player turned NFL Analyst Deion Sanders who will be calling in to discuss his Prime Academy program. The “Bust” for the segment is former major league baseman Willie Randolf, due to stories from fan interactions.

Along with his book tour for his first self-published memoir Chasing My Rookie Year, Michael continues to establish a strong presence off the football field. To add a twist to traditional radio podcasts, Michael intends on filming the show and posting it on his social media and the PFC website.

About Michael Clayton
A veteran among veterans, Michael Rashard Clayton (born October 13, 1982) is considered as one of the best all-around wide receiver football players to ever play at LSU. After three successful years of playing college football with the NCAA champion team the LSU Tigers, Clayton was a first round draft pick, 15th overall, by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2004 NFL Draft. In his first year, Clayton was ranked 5th all-time in NFL history among rookies with 80 receptions for 1193 yards and 7 touchdowns, ranking him 1st on the Buccaneers in receiving touchdowns that season.
